I like to rock climb, design stuff, cook, go green (but be realistic), and promote health and fitness.
I was born in China, came to America when I was 6, kept my Chinese name, learned English, lost Cantonese, and kept social Mandarin -- yes, I can still speak it today. I went to Cornell University for a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering after discovering that I excelled in Math and Chemistry in high school. I graduated in 2007, moved to San Francisco, got a job in IT, and spent the next two years meeting the most diverse group of people and exploring neighborhoods, respectively. I moved back to the East Coast in the spring of 2010 to be closer to my 7-years-and-going-strong girlfriend who is getting her Ph.D. in Bio-Medical Engineering and has an M.B.A. I am dating a smart cookie.
In high school I played volleyball and ran short distance track (even though I am built for distance). These days you'll find me rock climbing at Brooklyn Boulders and playing volleyball with NYCSSC. I love barefoot running shoes -- Nike Free, New Balance Minimus, Vibram Five Fingers (don't worry, I am not a weirdo so I only wear them when I am out of the concrete jungle). I also eat healthy the majority of the time, but I never count calories -- something about being Asian and having good genes, I guess.
I am twenty-eight, living in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, NY. Life is pretty good.
